If here was a notebook, it would have a cracked spine, torn-out pages, folded ears, and faint pencil markings, left by words that have since disappeared. In here I stumbled over sentences, overthought the placement of commas, added and removed parts, words, and shifted periods. I tried killing my darlings, went back and killed some more. Sentences were laid to rest on these pixelated pages.
But this process of writing does not appear here; all of it has vanished without a trace and only this message remains.
